I can remember very vividly a time when life on the farm was so much simpler. The air was clean and the fields were filled with new beginnings of
life. It seems as if it were only yesterday when I could smell the early fragrances of spring and witness the sights of its early arrival. There was the flutter of colorful butterflies bouncing from
flower to flower, long legged cranes visiting the quietness of nearby streams and ponds, with sprouting green blades of grass. These wonderful memories were overcast by a majestic blue sky painted with a hint of
lavender with a winding dirt path that seemed to disappear in the distance over the horizon. A TOBACCO BARN stands tall and strong in the foreground with its worn tin top displaying a hint of
rust. There was this awesome feeling of serenity and peacefulness that cannot be described verbally, a feeling that can only be felt within the inner most part of your soul.
"Solitude" is a painting
rendered in watercolor that reminds me of the good and simpler times. A time not long ago filled with a love for nature, filled with kindness and filled with neighborly compassion.
